The curved bit disks from Acavallo protect the horse's mouth from injuries caused by friction or bruising. The concave (inwardly curved) design on the inside and the convex (outwardly curved) design on the outside make previously used protruding protectors superfluous, so that injuries caused by friction or chafing at the corners of the mouth are avoided, as this sensitive area remains untouched.

The free movement of the bit and the bit rings, as well as the natural chewing mechanism of the horse are not affected. Immediately after attachment to the bit, the bit discs remain in the correct position, do not rotate and cannot make any unwanted movements of their own, guaranteeing precise and undisturbed bit control for the rider.
