The product naf Electro Salts is a supplement that can help to catch a deficiency of salts in your horse or pony. The supplementary animal feed contains four essential plasma salts including: Sodium, Potassium, Chloride and Magnesium. After peak performance periods or on a warm day, these salts can be added to help restore salt balance. Electro Salts from naf can be given with lukewarm water or over the feed.

A balanced water and electrolyte balance is very important for an active horse. Electrolytes are mineral salts that are vital for many bodily functions of the horse. If the electrolyte balance is disturbed, such as after an illness or heavy exertion (sweating), an extra supply of electrolytes is necessary. A deficiency of these can cause the horse to become tired earlier or to suffer from cramps.

Dosage

During high performance periods, such as endurance riding or a 3-day event, you can give your horse 2 measuring spoons (20 g) per 100 kg body weight or 1 measuring spoon (10 g) per 5 l water.
