These can then be gently removed without mechanical irritation or injury to the skin, often after only 1 application overnight.

Additionally prescribed disinfectants or healing preparations can then achieve their optimal effect. The keralysin ointment has proven to be very useful especially for Friesians or other horses with long hangings in the bend of the fetlock, as it was not necessary to remove the hangings.
