Due to the anatomically shaped mouthpiece the bit has a better lateral guidance and supports the horse in bends and turns. The pressure of the reins is not so much delivered via the outer jaws but is distributed evenly over the entire width of the tongue, which makes the effect via the tongue a little more intensive than with a normal double-broken bit. At the same time, the bit lies more calmly in the horse's mouth, completely prevents the nutcracker effect and is therefore more comfortable for the horse. The bit is the perfect compromise between a more direct action on the one hand and mouth-friendliness on the other.

The movable rings of the water snaffle automatically bring the bit into the correct position in the horse's mouth when the bit is pulled. The free-running rings allow the horse to change the position of the bit in the mouth, which stimulates the chewing activity and leads to better acceptance. Especially for young horses but also for inexperienced riders the water snaffle should always be the first choice.

The Stübben bits do not have any sharp edges that could injure the horse's mouth and guarantee a long durability due to selected materials. Special processing techniques reduce the knock-out of the joint connections of the bits.
