The sleeves on the outside edges of this mouthpiece cover the ring joints and prevent pinching, which can sometimes occur with water snaffles, especially on horses with fleshy lips. Continuous rings can help prevent biting on the bit, as they are much more mobile than fixed cheek pieces. The single-break mouthpiece creates a nutcracker action paired with continuous rings, making it an ideal choice for horses that tend to lay on the bit.
