Advanced, medical grade materials have been used in the development of these innovative cold water compression gaiters. The practical solution for cooling the legs after strenuous exercise. Simply soak in water for 5-8 minutes without the need for ice or cooling.
A revolution in cooling technology aided regeneration activated by moisture absorption and maintained by airflow delivered through the 3D channel mesh. The advanced cold water fabric was developed as part of our AirTech range, the lining is medical grade and offers hypoallergenic and antibacterial properties. The fabric uses a unique chemistry to achieve rapid water absorption. The advanced formulation releases energy over time to achieve temperatures 6-12° cooler than ambient.
Designed to achieve uniform cooling without restricting movement. Air is the element that keeps the fabric cool once activated by water. The 3D sport mesh exterior allows for a constant flow of air to reach the cold water fabric, which prolongs the cooling effect of the boot. Once saturated, the cold water fabric activates to provide a cold dampening layer that is anatomically designed to fit your horse's leg. The adjustable Velcro straps create compression to further aid recovery.
Legs should be clean before putting the boots on. We recommend soaking the boots in cold water for 5-8 minutes before putting them on. Carefully squeeze out any excess water. Under no circumstances should the boot be put on when dry.
Ambient temperature water can also be used as the fabric technology lowers the temperature.
Do not allow the boot to soak excessively - 30 minutes maximum.
Once dry, store in an airtight box or bag to ensure optimal wear.
If the boots become body temperature, simply add cold water to reactivate them. The boot can be used during reactivation (left leg). Make sure to check for dry spots at regular intervals, especially on hot days.
High humidity (90%) reduces the ability of the fabric to cool the product.
Must not dry out on the horse's leg.
Care
Make sure your gaiters are securely closed to dry. After drying, the cold water fabric becomes stiff.
Do not fold boots to dry - if they are unfolded while dry, the integrity of the fabric may be compromised.
Always soak your cold water compression boots before using them again. Do not unfold or manipulate the fabric when dry.
Remove hair and mud with a brush and make sure all closures are closed.
Hand wash and rinse. Do not use detergent - this can damage the fabric. Avoid direct sunlight - this can damage the fabrics.
After drying, the fabric will become stiff. Make sure the fabric is soaked before the next use.
